Dr Ian C Reddie is currently the only fellowship-trained medical and surgical retina specialist north of Mackay. An internationally published scientific author, Dr Reddie is an expert in the field of medical and surgical retina, cataract surgery, and ocular inflammatory disease.
In addition to his private practice, Dr Reddie also serves the community by performing emergency and trauma surgery as a Visiting Medical Officer at Townsville University Hospital. He also holds an appointment as Adjunct Senior Lecturer within the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at James Cook University.
Patients travel to see Dr Reddie from all over North Queensland: Cairns, the Gulf of Carpentaria, Cape York and the Torres Strait, along the western corridor to Mt Isa and into the Northern Territory, and every place in between.
He is the closest retina specialist for all these communities, and his goal is simple: provide world-class retina care to all patients in the greater northern region.
